Our goal

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, across the whole site.

What is in place

  • semantic structure (header, navigation, main content, footer) and a single main heading per page;
  • a “Skip to content” link and full keyboard navigation, with a visible focus indicator;
  • menus usable with the keyboard (Escape closes them) and by touch, with targets of at least 44 pixels;
  • form fields linked to their labels, hints and error messages;
  • compliant colour contrast in light and dark modes;
  • animations respect the system “reduce motion” setting, and content stays readable without JavaScript;
  • a layout that remains readable at up to 400% zoom;
  • each page declares its language, and language links state the language of their target.

Known limitations

Calculator results update live; we keep improving how screen readers announce them. No external audit has been carried out yet.
